Using Choice Based and Morality Based Games in Therapeutic Settings

A discussion of the following topics: importance of emphasizing choices and consequences in a therapeutic setting (particularly in the context of Reality Therapy and Choice Theory), how to use/incorporate choice based/morality based games therapeutically, examples of games that center on player choice and/or games with a morality system determined by choices, examples of how to use a specific game (there will be plot spoilers, unfortunately), distinction between games with choice and games with the illusion of choice, criteria to consider when determining whether or not a game would be appropriate to use in session, types of clients who would most benefit from this approach, multicultural considerations when discussing games in sessions/working with clients from different cultures, and potential limitations of using video games with clients.
