About this Event

This session will educate participants about the writing medium of fanfiction, leading into a workshop experience of writing (and reflecting on) a brief self-insert fanfiction writing exercise.

Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will develop an understanding of fan fiction as a creative medium, and the potential it holds for therapeutic growth.
2. Participants will discuss their personal experience with, and perspectives on, fan fiction writing, both within and outside the workshop experience.
3. Participants will write their own self-insert fan fiction, and reflect on their experience to gain a deeper sense of themselves and their desires/struggles.
