About this Event
Motherhood is a defining time in a caregivers life that is both awe inspiring and fear inducing. When society thinks of a mother, they may think of The Mother Archetype. In this presentation, panel attendees will learn how to analyze and integrate both sides of The Mother Archetype through the lens of the show Gilmore Girls.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define the mother archetype.
2. Critique of the show using a modern perspective.
3. Presenting the varies mother figures in Gilmore Girls and how they share qualities of "The Great Mother" and "The Terrible Mother" archetype.
4. Identifying the lessons from Gilmore Mothers including mother-daughter relationships, multigenerational transmission fusion, postpartum expressions/symptoms, and the spectrum of motherhood.
