How I got 20 Therapists to try D&D
A presentation by William Nation PhD (he/him) (Board Game Academics/Johns Hopkins University)
About this Event
This session will cover the lead up and process of getting my colleagues to experience tabletop gaming, how the process came about and was planned, and how it went. This includes reflections on what I did, what might have been done better, and how you might also get your less nerdy colleagues to try the modality out and even become more likely to recommend it and you.
Learning Objectives:
1. Learn how to increase awareness of tabletop gaming therapy in colleagues and professional contacts.
2. Tips for introducing new professional colleagues to both tabletop gaming and its therapeutic applications.
3. Increase understanding of how interpersonal connection and marketing can drive referrals and awareness of therapy offerings.
