About this Event

Unlocking conversations about sexual health education and sex trafficking can be taboo and tough, even for adults. Learn how "Likely Story" and other games can break down barriers and inspire meaningful conversations. Join us to explore a playful and serious approach designed to get teens talking about relationships, consent, boundaries, love, sex, emotions and so much more. We'll dive into the current state of sexual health education and sex trafficking prevention today, play the game and get hands on with game-design to shape its future together. No previous experience is required.

Participants will be equipped to better…

  1. Assess and critique the current state of sexual health education in Canada and the USA today, while staying grounded in stats and facts on sex trafficking
  2. Evaluate and assess ed-tech games for teens to address taboo subject matters, like sexual health education
  3. Discuss and analyze game mechanics for educational purposes and how it aligns with curriculum requirements
  4. Discuss, design and play a game to support meaningful content and conversations to foster teen-based conversations, and challenge taboos
