About this Event

Dive into an innovative therapeutic tabletop RPG where players will journey and confront challenges using the skills of Logic and Intuition, framed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Roll six-sided dice, and choose from a unique cast of characters, each equipped with specific DBT interventions to combat narrative challenges and slay (inner) demons. Create and illustrate your own unique character with scenes inspired by tarot card themes, and deepen your personal narrative through reinforcing mental health concepts. Collaborate, self-reflect, and problem-solve in this socially interactive experience.

Objectives:

·     This workshop is designed to help you understand and articulate the fundamental principles of DBT as will be demonstrated through players embodying their own unique characters.

·     Through interactive activities, this program aims to equip players with the ability to apply distress tolerance skills in practical scenarios, fostering competence in real-life situations via roleplaying narrative. Players will develop proficiency in interpersonal effectiveness by practicing "DEARMAN" communication skills.

·     Players will identify and challenge negative thought patterns and employ Cognitive Restructuring techniques for improved emotional well-being.

·     Through this roleplaying session and group discussion, we will empower players to apply emotion regulation skills resulting that can be applied to their personal lives.
