About this Event
Embark on a new Hero's Journey navigating the high seas of intergenerational & racial trauma, love & loss, and how one particular found family works together to achieve their individual dreams while finding out what freedom means to them. Through their hijinks and setting free the populations of unjust tyrants, they set the tone for the next generation to feel emboldened to challenge the status quo. There is no (red) line that will stop them from achieving their dreams! Yohohoho!
Learning Objectives:
1.Define core aspects of freedom, as demonstrated by Luffy and the Strawhat pirates.
2.Identify protective factors that build resilience in the world of One Piece- nakama, mentors, treasures, inherited wills, and dreams.
3.Apply aforementioned One Piece themes to real world concepts of intergenerational and racial trauma, and adverse childhood experiences.
4.Identify, compare, and contrast how the big names of Luffy’s generation (the new generation including Law, Koby, and Sabo) are doing differently than the big names of the previous generation (i.e. Garp, Dragon, Roger, Shanks, Whitebeard, and Big Mom.), and connect personal freedom to empowerment of the next generation through Luffy’s “New Dawn” in One Piece.
