About this Event

Join our team of expert players and DMs who use their experience with gaming to create TTRPG worlds that help others. We’ll use our backgrounds and expertise to weave audience ideas into a world and adventure by the end of the time. Or, maybe we’ll just make a mess. Either way, come help us create a world unique to the convention! With a bit of luck, we’ll create a world we can all tell stories about in the future.

Learning Objectives:

1.Explore Therapeutic World-Building Techniques: Identify and describe techniques for designing TTRPG settings with therapeutic purposes, focusing on the integration of player and audience input.

2.Apply Collaborative Storytelling Methods: Practice collaborative storytelling and world-building skills by contributing ideas and seeing them woven into a live TTRPG environment.

3.Engage in Therapeutic Game Design Principles: Understand how specific elements in world-building can be adapted to meet therapeutic goals, fostering personal growth, empathy, and creativity.

4.Analyze Real-Time Decision-Making in TTRPG Creation: Observe and participate in real-time creative decision-making, exploring how DMs and players balance narrative, audience input, and therapeutic intent.

5.Develop Strategies for Future TTRPG Use: Gain insights and practical strategies for incorporating therapeutic goals into TTRPG world-building, with potential to adapt these ideas for personal or professional use.
