Xan Clark (They/Them)
A life-long storyteller and self described "forever GM", Xan brings integrates their psychology and theater background with an international lived experience to create one of a kind worlds.
About this Presenter
A former freakshow performer turned therapeutic game master.
Xan was mauled by the theater bug at 8 years old, entranced by their first Dungeons and Dragons book at 14, graduated from Hendrix College with a BA in Psych in '14 and has yet to slow down.
A member of the neurodivergent and LGBTQ community, Xan's interest in games and anime led them to spend six years living abroad in Nagoya, Japan, where Xan made the transition from bartender to in-house GM for a retro game shop. Since returning to America in 2020 Xan has continued to entertain through podcasts (Super Suits, The Gorgon Show, Wayward Home for OCs), streaming, private GMing, and game development. Recently, Xan has completed BA training for the state of NJ, spoken at PAX East and PAX unplugged, worked as the safety coordinator for the upcoming "Emergent Code: An animon story" podcast, and has consistently published "homebrew" material for existing TTRPGs.
Now, Xan has turned their captivating storytelling ability to the side of therapeutics and mindfully creates worlds where players can find catharsis from daily struggles. A place where representation matters and player's agency is tangible. A shared, imagined home, where a warm voice of support brings "Yes and..." to life.
