About this Presenter

Dr. Susan Haarman, PhD serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Experiential Learning at Loyola University Chicago, working as a community-based learning professional. In addition to having a doctorate in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies with an emphasis on Philosophy of education, she also holds a Masters in Divinity, Masters in Community Counseling, and is a licensed therapist. Her research focuses on the intersection of tabletop games, civic identity, and pragmatic philosophy. She has been running a Monster of The Week campaign for two years and gets ideas by asking herself "How would this be haunted?" whenever she goes to a new spot in Chicago.
