Shelby Somers LSW (She/Her)

Shelby is a licensed social worker(LSW)working towards clinical licensure in the mental health field. She received her master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and is a self-described “geek.” Professionally, she has experience working with children, teens, and adults through traditional talk therapy and EEG Neurofeedback. She believes that we do not exist in a vacuum and that our mental, emotional, and physical selves are intertwined, so they should be addressed accordingly. As a result, her approach to therapy seeks to focus on the person in their environment and the impact that our environment can have regarding our mental health. Shelby is an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist with experience working with individuals and families. She is also interested in utilizing tabletop role-playing games and board games in a therapeutic setting.
