Robin Newman is the CEO of Studio Jayne, a women-owned design studio focused on technology for women's rights. She developed an award-winning educational digital game called Likely Story used by over 35,000 students to prevent sex trafficking in North America and speak to youth about sexual health education. With over a decade of experience, including working at The New York Times as a UX Researcher, and at Huge as an Interaction Designer and researcher she specializes in qualitative research, interaction design and product management. Throughout her career, she has worked with clients such as the ACLU, UPS, Google, Kia, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. While at Huge, she also developed the first-ever Huge Impact design sprint to bring together nonprofits and the private sector to use technology to solve complex social issues. This included organizations like the Carter Centre, the FBI agents and a survivor of trafficking. She believes in community service and more recently volunteered to help the Red Cross in Prince Edward Island to improve Vaccination intake and went on an international development trip to support the first-ever Electronic Medical Record system for ridge to Health in Kenya to improve patient outcomes. She holds an MFA degree from the School of Visual Arts in Social Design.
