About this Presenter

Peyton Phillips is a graduate student in Lock Haven University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Psychology in 2020 and was enthusiastic to enter the counseling field. She is the Operations Manager for the CMHC Culture Collective club in her program, that enforces diversity within the counseling field. She is also a mentor through the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, where she guides new students entering the program. Peyton will work with children, adolescents, and their families who are dealing with trauma during her upcoming summer 2023 practicum. She will receive her Foundations of Trauma Certificate after her spring 2023 semester to better work with this population. She is excited to apply creative interventions involving gamification to her future clients and their families. She feels inspired in implementing engaging, creative interventions to explore client meaning and feelings in an interactive environment. Peyton enjoys spending her free time following interesting storylines on her Nintendo Switch, watching animated films, and spending time in nature. She lives in New Columbia, Pennsylvania with her significant other, who she has been in a committed relationship with for 3 years. Peyton hopes to involve gamification throughout her future counseling career.
