Laura Dunson Caputo LPCC-S, M.S.Ed (She|Her|Hers)

Laura Dunson Caputo (LPCC-S, M.S.Ed) is an independently licensed clinical mental health counselor in Cleveland, Ohio. She has counseled in a wide range of clinical settings, including a reentry program, trauma shelter, community center, and community college, and has infused both geek culture and community advocacy into each of these roles.

In addition, Laura is a group facilitator at Game to Grow and a workshop consultant at Take This. She is a doctoral candidate in counselor education and supervision at Kent State University, where her research explores topics of media, gaming, power, and social justice in mental health. Her game facilitation, counseling, supervision, and teaching are informed by feminist and critical theories, narrative therapy, and relational-cultural theory.
