Lara is a licensed marriage and family therapist working in the San Francisco Bay Area with a background in trauma, foster care, and group home work. She specializes in working with queer folks, geeks, and queer geeks. Lara is a jack of all trades geek with interests in video games, comics (big label and indie), animation (give me that queer all ages content!), Star Wars, Disney, board games, and table top role playing games. She loves taking new clinicians under her wing and helping them understand that therapy doesn't have to be stuffy and pretentious. She also loves telling people they're wrong when they say something is "just for kids."
