Dr. Jinxi Caddel PsyD, CADC (she/her)

Dr. Jinxi Caddel is a psychotherapist, writer, editor, educator, tattoo shop owner, and book publisher. She owns a private practice called Black Sheep Therapy and is passionate about working with people who color outside the lines and find that non-conformity is their cup of tea. She co-owns a tattoo shop and art gallery in Eugene, Oregon, called Out of Step Tattoo & Gallery, which features an inspiring crew of tattoo artists and a diverse array of artwork.

Before becoming a therapist, Jinxi worked in the publishing world as an editor and writer, creating art- and tattoo-related publications. Her publishing company, Out of Step Books, has published 27 books (including two children’s books), and they are currently working on their 28th publication. Jinxi has a passion for research related to tattoos and the powerful role that they can play in trauma work and mental health awareness. She has written about tattoo- and art-related topics for the past 20 years.

Outside of the mental health and tattoo world, you'll often find Jinxi roller skating, competitive swimming, collecting cacti, or baking vegan goodies. She is currently playing Animal Crossing and Trine 2.
